Our Mission Statement
Ascension Lutheran Church is committed to a ministry of proclaiming the love of God to all. The Health Ministry Committee, with the Parish Nurse, has been developed to fulfill this commitment. the Health Ministry serves the community by integrating the spiritual, emotional and physical dimensions of human lives.
Home Visits:
Home visits are made at the family’s or the pastor’s request. These visits allow us to make special time for the patient and/or the family.
Hospital Visits:
The pastors and parish nurse make visits to the hospital. In time of sickness or distress we can help guide the patient and family through the health care system.
Care Coordination:
We can provide appropriate referrals to various care-giving agencies based on the individual's or group's needs and serve as a liaison between these care-givers.
Counseling:
We are here to listen to your concerns and discuss health-related issues. We provide help in understanding instructions you may have been given by your care provider(s), as well as explaining medical terminology.
